Gaynell Krambeal's second volume of research about the histories of and happenings in the City of Eagle Point, Oregon was published in 1998. The work is organized into seven parts: The Old Families, Surrounding Communities, Businesses, Organizations, Unforgettable People, Cemeteries and Miscellaneous. A surname index to volume 1 prepared by Dolores Dunn Ackerman completes the work.
Krambeal dedicates volume two of her history to Shirley "Shy" Callaghan who was a longtime teacher, coach and administrator in the Eagle Point school system as well as mayor of Eagle Point. Notable (to the author), he was coach and manager of the Dairy Maids, the women's softball team sponsored by the Southern Oregon Milk producers League. Shy took the team to win three state championships.
